Mennonite Agencies

Let us introduce you!  We have two new staff people at MCC Central States that you’ll hopefully have the privilege or working with.  Sharon Nelson is the new Young Adult Program Coordinator working from Denver, CO.  She’ll coordinate, recruit for and grow MCC’s young adult programs within the Central States region.  The best way to contact Sharon is via email sharonnelson at mcc.org.  We also have a new Office Manager, Denise Voth, working in the North Newton office.  Denise will work not only to manage the office, finances and donations in the North Newton office, but also with dispersed staff/programs throughout the region.  Denise can be contacted at 316.283.2720 or denisevoth at mcc.org.

Harvest Giving – An opportunity to share the fruits of your labor with others around the world through MCC.  For Hargest Giving envelopes please contact Maynard Knepp, maynardknepp at mcc.org or call 316.283.2720.

MCC is responding to needs around the world, will you join us?  MCC is providing vital items for life to Iraqis affected by conflict, food for displaced families in Gaza, responding to flooding in the Balkans and advocating for a compassionate response to migrant children along the US/Mexico border.  Check mcc.org for detailed information about these responses and to join us as we work to address human needs in the name of Christ around the world.

Mennonite Mission Network Prayer Request:  This is a month of transitions for Mennonite Voluntary Service participants with somefinishing their terms and others beginning.  Pray that God would bless their coming out and their going in.  Pray especially for Matthew Cordella, serving in Elkhart, IN, as he recovers from back surgery.

Prayers for faith and learning:  Bluffton University welcomes 15 faculty members from China West Normal University to campus July 26-Aug 16 for a study seminar on higher education administration.  Please pray for their safe travels.
