Statement of Faith

               

All:          O God, our Keeper of Faith,                                                                                     help us to keep the faith entrusted to us:

Right:             faith in a world worth saving,

Left:                faith in a dream worth sharing,

Right:             faith in a heritage worth keeping.

All:          We believe in the God of Creation,

Right:             who formed the earth and each creature with a word,               and then pronounced each living thing “good.”

All:          We are made in the image of God,

Left:                and set apart as caretakers                                                                    to guard and protect this world God has created.

All:          God, help us to keep faith in you,

Right:             and help us not lose faith in ourselves,

Left:                for faith is the substance of our hope,

All:                  and our hope is the assurance of love.
