Statement of Faith

               

All:          O God, our Keeper of Faith,                                                                                                          help us to keep the faith entrusted to us:

Right:             faith in a world worth saving,

Left:                faith in a dream worth sharing,

Right:             faith in a heritage worth keeping.

All:          We believe in God the Creator of all,

Left:                known to us through perfect love,                                                                                   who has called forth a people of faith.

All:          We believe in Jesus Christ, the Word become flesh,

Right:             crucified and resurrected,                                                                                              our Savior from sin, our peace, and Lord of the church.

All:          We believe in the Holy Spirit,

Left:                poured out on all believers, our source of inspiration and power.

All:          God, help us to keep faith in you,

Right:             and help us not lose faith in ourselves,

Left:                for faith is the substance of our hope,

All:                  and our hope is the assurance of love.
