Everyone is invited to stay
for a potluck meal following Sunday School this morning.
This potluck will give us all additional time to visit with Jerry and
learn what has been happening in his and his family’s life.
Young people (grades K-6) are invited to Washington Mennonite’s
Vacation Bible School on August 9th and 10th! Come to learn about God, The Good
Shepherd and have lots of fun. On August
9th we’ll meet at church from 9:15-3:30, and then on August 10th
we’ll have a picnic/swimming party at Crooked Creek Camp following the church

The Sower Prayer Request: Tim
Detweiler is speaking this week at Cheyenne Mennonite Family Camp near Lame
Deer, Montana. Pray for Tim and for all
those attending the camp.

Mission Network Prayer Request: The South Africa and Paraguay
Radical Journey teams will arrive in Chicago tomorrow for four days of re-entry
sessions. Pray for discernment during
this time of debriefing and preparation for returning to their home communities
and what comes next in their lives.
Prayers for faith and learning: Pray for
Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary professors who spend the summer months
exploring new research and beginning new projects. May the Spirit guide their study to inspire
them and contribute to God’s mission in the world.

Polen in Concert: Polen will
be in concert at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church on Saturday July 26th
at 7pm. Polen is a 5-piece Christian
electronic rock and worship band from Fredericksburg, OH. With electrifying walls of guitar, pulsating
rhythms, and pensive lyrics, Polen creates a sound that is deeply worshipful,
