Statement of Faith

               

All:          O God, our Keeper of Faith,                                                                                     help us to keep the faith entrusted to us:

Right:             faith in a world worth saving,

Left:                faith in a dream worth sharing,

Right:             faith in a heritage worth keeping.

All:          We respond to Christ in faith as the church,

Right:             the community sustained by the Spirit,                                       called to proclaim and witness to the kingdom of God.

All:          We continue the mission of Christ,

Left:                making disciples, forgiving and restoring sinners,             baptizing believers, sharing the Lord’s Supper,                         using our gifts in unity and love.

All:          God, help us to keep faith in you,

Right:             and help us not lose faith in ourselves,

Left:                for faith is the substance of our hope,

All:                  and our hope is the assurance of love.
