Merry Christmas from the students and faculty/staff of Hillcrest Academy.  We are thankful for our community who holds us up in prayer and financially. Your care and generosity is truly appreciated. May the Christmas message of hope and love fill your life with joy and peace.

Central Plains Conference

We’re better together! This summer, Amanda Bleichty, Conference Minister for Christian Formation, encourages your youth group to step out of your comfort zone, to say “YES” to new relationships, and to learn about discipleship as you take a service/mission trip with another youth group from our conference. Find out more about the “Youth Mission Together” project or explore being matched with another CPMC group at our website, www.centralplainsmc.org/youth-mission-together or contact Amanda at amandableichty@centralplainsmc.org

Central Plains Prayer Request:  We invite you to give thanks for your brothers and sisters in Central Plains and for all the work of God that is being done through them in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Montana, Nebraska, and Colorado.

2020 is your year to go on an MCC Learning Tour! Travel to Haiti March 21-28 to learn about root causes of Haiti’s reality and see MCC projects in person. Join MCC Bolivia in celebrating 60 years with two learning tours, May 2-9 will focus on Eastern Bolivia and Oct. 10-17 will focus on Western Bolivia. Finally, you’re welcome to travel to Nicaragua, July 20-30, to celebrate the centennial of MCC, focusing on past and present MCC work in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Mennonite Mission Network Prayer Request:  Praise God that the government in Mongolia has renewed JCS International’s registration for another two years. JCS is the consortium of mission agencies through which Mennonite Mission Network ministers in this country. Pray for God’s light to brighten people’s lives in this season of extreme cold and short days.

MC USA Announcement: Political tensions are rising, argumentation has replaced conversation, and divisions widen. How should pastors and congregational leaders engage?
