Reminders for Sunday!
This is a reminder that this coming Sunday, October 14 will be our second conversation cafe focusing on the "12 scriptures project." This Sunday, we will work in small table groups to find scriptures that have been important to this congregation in the past, that describe who this congregation is today, and that we want to be our guides for moving forward in the future. I hope to see you all there as we do this important reflective work!
A reminder, the adults will NOT have Sunday school. Children will have planned Sunday School activities during the conversation cafe.
After the jump I've included a list of all the scriptures that were written on post-its during our last conversation cafe. The frequency of each is noted. Please peruse these if you choose in preparation for our conversations Sunday.

September 30, at 3:00 PM, we will meet at the shelter just east of the rocket slide in Sunset Park, and ride the Kewash Trail to West Chester.
MENNO'S (9th) ANNUAL BIKE RIDE ON KEWASH. This is a slow paced, family ride. Bring your friends. A sag wagon will be available in West Chester if you can't make it back. Back at Sunset Park, we will have hot dogs, brats, chips, lemonade. See the posters and sign up in the foyer.

VBS is coming!
VBS is coming up fast!
Many have been confused about the VBS announcement in Bearing Fruit. I'd like to clear things up a bit. VBS is happening on Saturday and Sunday, August 11th and 12th (NOT the 10th and 11th). We will meet at the church from 9:30 til 3:25 on Saturday. Sunday, the whole congregation will have church at the regular time. The church service will be VBS themed, featuring songs and drama from VBS. After church, we will have fellowship time but no Sunday school.
Following church on Sunday, the entire congregation is invited to the Custer Picnic shelter at Crooked Creek at 11:30 for a cookout lunch that will be provided by the VBS committee! Following the picnic, all are invited to stay and swim at the Crooked Creek swimming pool!
There is still time to register children, grandchildren, neighbors and any youngsters you know! Registration forms are found on the foyer table at church, or just show up a bit early on Saturday to register. We have a few signed up and would love a few more!
To Review:
Saturday August 11: VBS 9:30-3:25 at church
Sunday August 12: church at 9:30, all church cookout (food provided) at Custer picnic shelter at CCCC at 11:30, followed by swimming.
