August 26, 2012

Our Church
Happy Birthday to:  Travis Leyden (8/26), Karla Garrett (8/27), Adam Miller (8/31)

Offering for 8/19/12: $2020.10 (regular), $30 (van fund)

Please take time to update your address, birthday, phone number, and email for this year’s church directory on the table in the hallway.  Use the red pens to make corrections, initial if nothing has changed, or add your information if you weren’t in the last directory.  Amanda and Grant would also like a list of everyone’s cell phone numbers.  If you would prefer your cell number not to be in the directory, make a note of that and it will be added only to the pastors’ list.

Update on Van Fund: So far the church has received $830 toward the $1823 expenses for the van.  Thank you for your generous donations.  However, the church still needs $993 this fiscal year (before Aug 31) to cover these expenses.  Please consider a donation to finish this off!  Thank you.

Calling all adult Sunday School teachers!  Come to Washington Mennonite on Thursday, August 30th at 7:30pm for a free webinar led by Conference Ministers David and Shana Boshart.  The 90-minute webinar, Teaching for Transformation, focuses on teaching the Bible in a way that engages both mind and heart, and that sparks transformation into the likeness of Jesus.

August 31 is the end of the church fiscal year.  Please submit all invoices to Mary Lou Farmer, Treasurer, before August 20, 2012.  She will thank you!
