Offering for 7/29/12: $2,410 (regular), $200 (Hispanic Roof)

Thanks to everyone who shared their aerial farm pictures with us this summer.  Your pictures can be picked up in the fellowship hall today.  Special thanks to Eugene Engel and Marlene Leichty for sharing bouquets of flowers as well.

In May, the church council approved purchasing a wheelchair van for church transportation needs.  Upfront cost of the van, licensing, tax, and insurance totaled $1823.  Please place your generous donation marked “van” in the offering to help provide this ministry to our church members.  Or give a check directly to Mary Lou Farmer prior to the end of August.  Thank you!

Amanda is not here today because she’s attending a wedding in Michigan.

VBS is coming up! Mark your calendars for August 10 and 11. On the 10th, we'll be meeting at the church from 9:30-3:30 and on Sunday the 11th, the children will help with our worship service followed by church-wide lunch and then a swimming party at Crooked Creek.  It’s not too late to register your kids!

There will be a Church Barn Dance on Sunday, Aug 19th at 5pm at Marlene and Marion Leichty’s barn (2770 Henry Washington Rd).  Just bring yourself, a finger food snack, and your lawn chair.

There will be a Church-Wide Work Day on Saturday,   August 25th.

Centro Cristiano will be hosting WMC on Aug 26th for a noon luncheon as a fundraiser to support the students of IBA, Spanish for Anabaptist Bible Teaching.  Please mark your calendar.

CCCC invites you to join Dave Boshart and Chris Grier on Saturday, Sep 8th from 8:30am-3:30pm for a day of reflection, introspection, learning, and activities that enhance body, mind, and soul.  What does the Bible say about health, our bodies, and the food we eat?  In this one-day intensive workshop, Dave Boshart, a Conference Minister and missional theologian, and Chris Grier, a Wellness Chiropractor with an emphasis on human potential and performance, will dive deep into the Biblical and cultural narrative of Body, Food, & Health.  Participants will gain understanding of what Biblical teachings exist and how they can influence behavior today along with the forces at play in modern culture that have led to an epidemic of poor health.  Participants will also have the opportunity to identify their individual needs for enhancing well-being and connectedness in their lives.  Registration fee is $30 and you can call the camp to register today at 319.653.3611.
