Happy Birthday to:  Mary Lou Farmer (5/27)

Offering for 5/26/2013: $1,597.00 (regular),

Grant is preaching this morning at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church.

In your mailboxes you’ll find a copy of the letter from the Conference Board and Ministers summarizing their findings from the fall regional meetings.

MCC Pancakes:  We need 20 people to help serve pancakes at the MCC Sale in Iowa City on Saturday, June 1.  This has been a project of our church for the last 38 years.  We need to be in Iowa City at 6:30am to set up for serving beginning at 7:00.  Our shift would be over at 9:00.  Sign up in the foyer.  See Myron if you have questions, need a ride, etc.

The Crooked Creek Christian Camp Cabin Fund is in full swing.  To contribute your time/money/skills fill out a pledge sheet (with envelopes at the back of the sanctuary).

SUMMER PLANS!

Next week we start our 12 Scriptures Summer Series!  Each week until the end of August, Grant and I (and several special guests) will preach about one of our congretations 12 chosen scriptures.

In addition, we’ll begin our Summer Sunday School Series.  The children will meet upstairs, and all adults will meet together in the fellowship hall.  Grant will teach the adult Sunday School series based on the “Second Mile” curriculum from Menno Media.  On June 9 and July 14, we won’t have Sunday School, but we’ll meet fro a congregational picnic in the park!

August 11th will be VBS Sunday!  We’ll meet at the church for worship, then adjourn to CCCC’s Custer Picnic Shelter for lunch followed by a swimming party!
