Happy Birthday to:  Jon Widmer (4/14)

We welcome David Heusinkveld to our pulpit this morning.  David is administrator of Pleasantview Retirement Center in Kalona.  May God bless his message to us today.

Please pray for Tim Detweiler, as he recovers from shoulder surgery.  Tim will be unable to drive himself for six weeks.  Keep Tim and Carol and the Conference Ministry Staff in your prayers during this time.

Washington Mennonite Church will provide a brief worship service this afternoon, April 10, at McCreedy Home and Washington Care Center.  The Outreach and Service Ministry will lead the service at McCreedy Home at 1:45 PM and at Washington Care Center at 2:30 PM.  If you would like to participate in these worship services in the future, please contact a member of the Outreach and Service Ministry (Tim Widmer, Mike Bates, Carol Detweiler, Roger Farmer, or Grant Nebel).

On Thursday, April 21st we will be having a Maundy Thursday Service here at the church at 6:30 PM.  Come and help us remember and celebrate the last supper Jesus shared with his disciples.

On Sunday, April 24th there will be an Easter brunch in the church fellowship hall from 8:00 – 9:00 AM.  Please feel free to bring yummy breakfast food to share, in fellowship, with our church family.  There will be no Sunday School on Easter Sunday due to the brunch.

Those who are renewing their subscription to THE MENNONITE, should put $37.00 in the offering and write “The Mennonite” on the memo line.
