Jubilance Children’s Choir, a community children’s choir directed by Rhonda Miller, will be giving
their spring concert at Kalona
Mennonite Church
on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at 3pm.
Jerry Partridge and Nathan Detweiler have transferred their memberships to First
Mennonite in Iowa City. We wish God’s blessing to them as they
continue to use their gifts for God’s Kingdom.

Outreach Group) invites you to view the DVD
movie “Gasland” which describes the dangers of air and water pollution from
a new method of drilling for natural gas called “hydraulic fracturing”. Mennonite landowners in Pennsylvania
and North Dakota
have been asked to lease their land for this destructive process. Join us at the Washington Mennonite Church,
815 East Polk, Washington, Iowa, on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at 6:00PM for a
finger-foods potluck and conversation (please bring your own table service) or
at 7:00PM for viewing “Gasland”. For

The Kalona Quilt and Textile Museum has received a request for quilts for Japan. Any size quilts can be used and they can be
either quilted or tied. These can be new
or CLEAN USED ones. Also, cash donations are needed to pay for shipping. Checks should be made out to the Kalona Quilt
and Textile Museum and sent to Marilyn Woodin, Box 340, Kalona,
Iowa, 52247. If you need someone to pick up your quilt, please

the Museum is April 28th.
Maria Miller, daughter
of Steve and Norma Miller of Kalona, a senior at Pathway
School, will present a program of
piano selections at Kalona
Mennonite Church
today, April 3rd, at 2:00PM.
The concert will feature arrangements of hymns that she has learned over
the past several years. She will be
assisted by sister Racine, brother Tanner, her former instructor, Tami Miller,
and her current instructor, Susan See.
The concert will be followed by a reception. All are welcome to attend.
It’s family night at
Crooked Creek Christian Camp and we invite everyone to a special gathering of
the Climbing Club at the Activity Center from 5-7PM on Sunday, April
10. We’ve lowered the age limit to 8
years old and encourage families to come and give climbing a try! Family maximum rate is $25, adults are $10,
and kids are half price. This is an affordable and active Sunday evening
adventure that you should try. Call the camp to register at 319-653-3611. Every
child must be accompanied by an adult, no more that two children per adult.

The Touring Choir of Iowa Mennonite School will present a program of sacred music this evening at the
East Union Mennonite
Church near Kalona. The program, under the direction of Karenza
Yoder, features 43 juniors and seniors; it will begin at 5:00PM. Refreshments will follow the service.
Please keep Karenza Yoder and IMS’s Touring Choir in your thoughts and prayers as they travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico
next weekend to participate in the Mennonite Schools Council Choir
Festival. They will spend
several days in San Juan,
along with eight other schools, and will be involved with a service project on
Monday, April 11. The concert at Academia
Menonita will take place Sunday evening, April 10.
