Sunday morning prayer time at WMC – Come to church at 8:50 AM each Sunday morning for a time of prayer for any concerns you may have. Everyone is welcome.

Preaching schedule for April & May

• May 1: Keith & Kate Slater, China missionaries

• May 8: Diane Zaerr Brenneman

Happy Birthday to: Myron Graber (today), Bradean Garrett (4/25)

Next Saturday we will be sprucing up the church facilities. Please note the things to be done on the Master List in the foyer. If you can’t be here and want to come earlier to clean, mark off from the master list what you have done so it won’t be repeated. Items to bring for working are included on the list.

Next Sunday we will have Keith and Kate Slater bring us the morning message. They have recently been serving in China. During the SS hour they will share pictures and answer questions about their experiences.

Mennonite Mission prayer request: Linda Oyer of Mennonite Mission Network has ministered from a base in Paris, France, for more than two decades. Linda writes, teaches, preaches and facilitates contemplative spirituality and spiritual direction throughout French-speaking Europe. Pray for wisdom and strength to continue her ministry, and healing for her eyes.

Are you interested in opening your home by hosting an international student who wishes to attend Iowa Mennonite School next year? Each year there are a number of students wishing to attend IMS, pending identification of a host family. Specifically, a student from Ecuador is planning to attend; there also may be others as we move through the spring and summer. Please contact admissions director Chris Nachtigall or principal Tony Miller to receive further information.

Looking for a great retreat location for your family gathering this summer? Call Crooked Creek Christian Camp and ask about specials on the June and July open weekends. Call 653.3611.

Wayland Mennonite invites you Friday and Saturday, April 29th and 30th, 7:00 PM, to the Cotton Patch Gospel one-man show, musical of the southern translation of Matthew authored by Clarence Jordon and set to music by Harry Chapin. All proceeds will go to the back pack program at WACO.
