PROCLAIMING THE STORY
Welcome/Call to Worship – Becky Widmer
Through the Spirit,
God’s servant will be a light to the nations,
Bringing justice and release to prisoners.
We are God’s servants
And we will work for justice, for healing,
To bring light to the world,
For God’s vision to reign.
Songs of Gathering and Praise

LIVING THE STORY
Advent Candle Lighting
People of God, Isaiah promised a servant God who would come to save us.
The Savior will be a light to the nations.
People everywhere are eager for the justice he will teach and the joy he will bring.
We will see prison doors opened and people set free.
Today we light a candle to symbolize the joy we anticipate.  We hope in the One who will come.  We pray for God’s peace to prevail.  Our joy will come with God’s servant. (pause)

People of God, great change lies ahead.
We wait to see it with joy!
Advent Reflection Song

Sharing and Announcements
In our joy……Thanks be to God.
Lord in your mercy……Hear our prayer.
Lord guide us……As we are your hands and feet.
