▪ The Annual Blueprint balance at the
end of June was
$-3623.24. We’ll
need your substantial giving to bring it into the black and pay our obligations
for this fiscal year which ends on August 31, 2016. Thanks for your continued generosity to

▪ WMC will be hosting Saturday Kitchen on July 16th
at the United Presbyterian
Church. You will find signup sheets to
donate food items and also a signup sheet for workers in the foyer. Sign up for the job and time you are available
to help. We always have fun working
together as we provide the
noon meal for our
guests as they gather around tables and enjoy good food and the fellowship of
others.
▪ Birthday Breakfast Club: If you celebrate your birthday in June, July,
or August mark your calendars and
join Amanda for breakfast and fellowship on August 20th at 9:00am.
▪ Friends of Pastor Max has a limited supply of
Villatoro Family Blend Coffee for sale in the Fellowship Hall. Proceeds
from the coffee sales go directly to the Villatoro family fund. $15/bag can be paid in cash or check made to
Central Plains Mennonite Conference, earmarked “coffee.” Thanks for your continued support of the

nad Aileen are currently visiting Max in Ensenada Mexico. Gloria was unable to get permission from
immigration officials to join them on this trip. Please continue to pray that their family can
be reunited soon.
▪ Join Centro Cristiano on July 17 for a fundraiser
for Karen Cardenas, an IMS student
from Centro Cristiano, for lunch in the fellowship hall. Together with folks from Lower Deer Creek, Sugar Creek, East
Union and West Union Churches we’ll eat chicken fajitas with sides. Yum! A
free will offering will be taken. Please
sign up in the foyer today if you plan to attend. Martha Hernandez would like to plan ahead how
much food to buy and prepare.
▪ There are still many ways to help out
with our summer worship series. Be a children’s story and playtime
supervisor, bring treats for fellowship time after church, sign up to bring
lunch to the Baptism class. Signup
sheets are in the foyer by the mailboxes.
Crooked Creek
Christian Camp
▪ 8th-9th grade
camp starts today. We appreciate your
continued prayers for campers,
counselors and all staff as we share the love of Christ to youth.
▪ Grandfolk/Littlefolk day is Tuesday,
July 19, from 9am-3pm has space
available for 5-6 year old children with Grandfolks. Enroll online or call the camp office to
register.

▪ The Sower Prayer Request: Next
weekend, youth from all over Central Plains will gather to consider how their
identity in Jesus Christ shines from the Inside Out. Pray that God may speak to all who attend
through music, activities, fellowship, and Michele Hershberger’s messages.

▪ The Crowded Closet Thrift Shop in Iowa City is
hiring a part time position including Saturdays. Hours are flexible and tasks would include
greeting donors and customers, sorting donations, and working closely with
volunteers. Applicants should have the
ability to work independently, be decisive and highly organized, and demonstrate
strong interpersonal skills. Interested

▪ Mennonite Men, a bi-national organization working with MC USA and MC Canada is seeking a half-time Coordinator to
begin August 1. Primary responsibilities
include oversight of office tasks, managing an annual budget, relating to
volunteers including a bi-national board of directors, planning for church-wide
and area conference events, resourcing congregational men’s groups, and
overseeing the work of the JoinHands Church Grant program. Computer skills, experience in fund raising,
and a willingness to travel are a plus.

Convention social media ambassador volunteers sought! Do
you use Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram and also love going to Convention? If you’d be willing to spend about an hour
per month sharing content from convention social media accounts that interest
you – from now through convention – consider applying to become a convention
social media ambassador. People serving
in this role will receive a reduced registration fee and will also assist with

▪ Mennonite
Mission Network Prayer Request: Pray for
Youth Venture participants and leaders as they learn from, serve alongside, and
worship with host communities in Lithuania and Los Angeles this month. This is a MMN program for youth, ages
14-22.
▪ Mennonite Education Agency Prayers for Faith and
Learning: Pray for youth, young adults, and leaders as they plan
to travel to AMBS in Elkhart, IN for Deep Faith; a formation conference for and
by Anabaptist formation leaders. May
their travel be safe and their time together be fruitful.
Area Announcements
▪ Keepers of the Faith a male quartet
based out of Puyallup, Washington will be in concert on Wednesday, July 13 – 7pm
at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church.
Come hear some wonderful singing along with an amazing testimony of how
God has changed their lives after years of abuse, street gangs, and prison
time. A freewill offering will be taken.
