memories of Washington Mennonite throughout the years! Whether this has been your church for many
years or just a few, the history of this church is our shared history when we
worship and work together. Come prepared
to tell tales and to hear the stories of Washington Mennonite.
Washington Mennonite Church is
presenting the worship service at Halcyon House on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at
2:30 pm. Please plan to attend
and help sing some hymns.
Thank you for your prayers, visits,
telephone calls and food that I have
received during the past four weeks during my recovery from surgery.
Francis and I are blessed to be surrounded by a loving and caring church

Request: Pray
for the workshop on Conflict Transformation Skills to be held next weekend in
Freeman, South Dakota. Pray that many
will learn valuable skills they can put to use in their relationships and
congregational leadership roles.

Mission Network Prayer Request: Praise God for
the Toba/Qom radio station that was inaugurated last month in the Argentine
Chaco. Pray that the Christian
programming will touch many lives through this ministry that is facilitated by
Alfonsina and José Oyanguren, serving with MMN.

▪ The Crowded Closet Thrift Shop, Iowa City, is
seeking a part time Furniture Assistant. This position would involve organizing and
assisting with deliveries and pickups, transporting inventory and other items
to and from the storage building, managing recycling, among other duties. Applicant must be able to work in a fast
paced environment, be on your feet, be able to lift 30-50 lbs., work both
independently and as part of a team.
Looking for 3 8 hour days, ideal candidate would work two Saturdays a
month. Excellent public relation skills
