Washington Mennonite will be providing relief counselors at Camp Reese on August 3^rd.  More details later.

Kitchen Remodeling Project Update:

As of July 8, funds given in cash and pledges for the remodel project total $44,875.  This amount is $8,125 short of our goal of $53,000.  The Church Council wants to give everyone another opportunity to contribute or give additional funds before July 26.  The council will meet after the July 26 deadline to review the additional giving received and will make a determination about the future of the project.

Crooked Creek Christian Camp

High school camp is this week July 16-19 and is our last camp.  This is an extended weekend camp.  Pray for campers, counselors and all staff as we minister to children and the community.

Cast your vote for CCCC!!

As part of Hills Hank & Trust Company grand opening in Washington, IA, June 29^th, they will be giving away $1000 to 10 local non-profit organizations.  Starting June 29^th, Hills Bank & Trust Company invites people to visit their new location at 2481 Highway 92 E in Washington to vote for their non-profit organization of choice.  Each person is permitted to vote with each visit.  The results of a random drawing to award $1000 to 10 local non-profits will be announced on July 20^th.  The more votes for CCCC the better

our odds of being drawn.  Thank you for your support of Crooked Creek!

Central Plains Conference

The Sower Prayer Request:  Today Matt Troyer-Miller will be ordained at Wood River Mennonite Church in Wood River, Nebraska.  Praise God for calling another pastor from within the conference and pray for Matt and the Wood River congregation as they journey together in ministry.  

Mennonite Agencies

Mennonite Mission Network Prayer Request:  Rejoice with MMN’s Brian and Kelly McPhail on the birth of their first child, Elsie!  Pray for the McPhails as they adjust to a new rhythm of life and as they continue to serve as teachers and administrators through Mennonite Partners in China.

Area Announcements

All are welcome to a Fundraiser Meal and Dessert at West Union Mennonite Church July 19^th at noon to support Jacob Yoder and Nicholas Yoder, who will be serving with MCC’s SALT program.  Jacob will serve in India and Nicholas in Bolivia.
