Iowa Mennonite
School
IMS is holding a week-long theatre camp this summer,
from July 8-12. Come and join the cast ofCalamity Jane & the
Showdown at Dry Gulch! The camp is for anyone who has completed
grades 1-12, and will take place in Celebration
Hall on the IMS campus.
Camp times are 8:30 am-12:30
pm daily, with a mid-morning snack provided each
day. A performance will be given at 7:00
pm on Friday, July 12, also in Celebration Hall. There
is a cost to attend the camp; for more information please call Candi Schmieder

Crooked Creek Christian Camp
As part of CCCC’s cabin renovation
project, the camp will have several cabins for sale in July and August of this

Grandfolk-Littlefolk Day, July 2, is just around the
corner. Activities will include games,
chapel, swimming, nature, crafts and fun!
If you haven’t registered your 5 or 6 year old child (along with a
grandparent or other adult), please call the camp 319.653.3611 by June 28 to
register. There is still room!
Area Mennonite Churches
On
June 30th, there will be a fund-raiser
meal prepared by the Maria & Enrique Mendoza family from the Torre
Fuerte congregation that meets at First Mennonite in Iowa City. Donations
will assist their children in attending IMS. The meal will be at First Mennonite,
beginning at approximately 11:45 am.
Central Plains Conference
The Sower Prayer Request: This morning
is the final worship service at the Central Plains Annual Meeting in Ashland,
Montana. Pray for speaker Terry LeBlanc
and those gathered, that our conference may experience the presence, power and
guidance of the Holy Spirit today and in the year to come.

Network Prayer Request: Barbara
and Tad Wulliman serve in the Philippines through MMN. Praise God for their 29 years at Faith
Academy, a Christian school. Pray for
many staffing positions yet to be filled for the 2013-2014 academic year.
Prayers for Faith and Learning: Give thanks to God for people who contribute to Mennonite higher
education, and ask God to prompt generosity as colleges, universities and
seminaries approach the end of the fiscal year.
