7 Core Convictions of Anabaptists
INTRODUCTION
Some years ago, members of the Anabaptist Network in Britain and Ireland put together seven core convictions, our attempt to distill the essence of Anabaptism. Each expresses something we believe and then spells out the commitment to which the belief leads. We hope that many readers will find these core convictions as inspirational and challenging as we do.

Download Confession of Faith
Here is an easy link to download a free copy of A Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective.
http://www.mennoniteusa.org/Home/HistoricalCommittee/StatementofFaith/tabid/641/Default.aspx
I think it might be easier than the Mennolink website I mentioned in the sermon Sunday.
If the above doesn't work for you, simply go to www.mennoniteusa.org and search for "Confession of Faith".
Enjoy!

WMC Bids Goodbye to Amanda Beachy
On August 29, Washington Mennonite Church had a farewell for Amanda Beachy, a seminary intern that spent the summer with us. Amanda preached, was worship leader, taught Bible School, attended the Central Plains Annual Conference meeting, got our blog up and running, did visitation, in short, she did it all! We had a pot luck dinner and were priveleged to meet her family. Good luck to Amanda as she enters her final year of seminary studies in Elkhart.

WMC and Blogosphere
I'm so proud of the good folks at WMC for trying new things like posting church news on a blog. I hope all commission chairs take a little time to post what's happening. Once we get some things on here, we'll put the address in the bulletin so members (and followers) will know to look here for info. Our hat is off to summer intern Amanda for getting this going.
Wouldn't it be great if one of the "followers" of this blog came to worship at WMC and then became a follower of Jesus! One never knows!

Stewardship Summer Series
Throughout the summer, we've learned a lot about the stewardship of our money, time, relationships, health, and talents. As part of each Sunday, we've done inter-generational learning activities. When we learned about the stewardship of our health and bodies, our activity was an exercise obstacle course set up on the church lawn. We had lots of fun!
