▪ Offering for 4/21/19 - Regular offering: $741

Saturday Kitchen will be hosted on Saturday May 11, 2019 by Washington Mennonite Church at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington, IA.  You will find signup sheets for both donated food items and workers on the table in the foyer. Recently the numbers of guests at Saturday Kitchen have been at 100 persons or more.  Please join us by signing up for what you can bring or do as we take our turn at hosting Saturday Kitchen.  We have a good time working together and we are never sure who is having a greater day at Saturday kitchen, the guests or the workers or both.  Don’t miss out on the blessing of serving at Saturday Kitchen.  Join us as we work together.  - Phyllis Litwiller, Gloria Widmer and Sue Widmer.

SundaySucCrooked Creek Christian Camp

Exciting things are happening this spring at Crooked Creek!
1. Make sure to register for the Mud Run, May 4th.  It's a fantastic way to support the campership fund and a blast for the entire family!
2. Want to get involved with summer camp? We're looking for counselors, lifeguards, assistant cooks, and nurses.  Call the camp for more information.

Food Drive | The IMS National Honor Society is hosting a food drive to benefit area food pantries. Please bring your non-perishable food items to IMS any time between May 1 and May 10, including the IMS production of Peter Pan & Wendy, May 4 & 5 or the Fine Arts and Academic Awards Night, May 7. Also, donation boxes will be placed at Freeman Foods and JW’s for your convenience. Thank you for helping your community in this very special way!

Peter Pan & Wendy | Rehearsals are underway for the spring drama Peter Pan & Wendy. Performances are May 4 at 7:00 PM and May 5 at 3:00 PM in Celebration Hall. Reserved tickets can be purchased by calling the office: $9/adults and $5/students K-12. Please check out iowamen nonite.org/drama first to see what's available. Tickets at the door are general admission: $10/adults and $6/students.

SAVE THE DATE | IMS will be hosting another Into The Black fundraising event on June 28. Save Room For Pie will feature a concert by The Walking Roots Band, a silent auction of meals, and (of course) pie and ice cream. Look for more details soon but mark your calendars now and plan to attend this important event to help IMS get 'into the black' at the end of the year.

Summer Camps | We have another great line-up of camps this year from art to music to sports and everything in between! And we will be adding science camp and soccer camp information soon. Camps are offered K-12 grade. Check out all the details, camp requirements, and register at www.iowamennonite.org/camps.

Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale

We will need many helping hands at the Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale, May 31 & June 1, 2019 to ensure everything runs smoothly. Go to iamccreliefsale.org/volunteering to check out the various volunteer opportunities. Your support enables our sale to raise funds for Mennonite Central Committee's global mission of relief, development and peace-building in the name of Christ. Contact Rebecca Beachy Miller with questions or to volunteer by phone: 319-631-2461

The Quilt Committee of the Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale would like ALL quilts turned in to a committee member by April 30. Please call Donna Rinner at 319-591-0961 with questions.

The Apple Fritter booth at the Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale needs your help!  If you enjoy eating fritters and want to see this booth at the sale this year, please consider joining the committee for 3 years or volunteer to work a shift this year.  If interested, contact Gloria Yoder (ggyoder@netins.net or text 319-430-8689) or Joe Schmidt  (joeschmidt77@gmail.com or 319-471-0531). Thank you!
