▪ Thank you, thank you: to each one of you that helped with the
meal following the funeral of Katie Miranda. We appreciated your help as you set and decorated tables,
furnished salads and desserts, worked in the kitchen preparing and serving food
or did clean up, washed dishes etc. It was short notice but you all said
“Yes” to our requests. Thank you.

Iowa Mennonite School
▪ Touring Choir | The IMS Touring Choir is on tour! This
Sunday they are singing at West Union Mennonite and their next concert is
on Sunday, March 3 at 9:30AM at First Mennonite AND 7:00PM at
Lower Deer Creek Mennonite. Check out the entire schedule on our website: iowamennonite.org/ touring-choir.
The public is welcome at all performances.
▪ IMS Cafe | This
years Culinary Arts Class restaurant dates are February 28, March
14, April 25. The restaurant opens at 8:30AM each day and
the menu will include various entrees, sides, and desserts. Reservations are
required and can be made by calling the school office (319) 656-2073.

Conference
▪ Central Plains Mennonite Conference
Prayer Request: Pray for Tim Detweiler as he
travels throughout the conference to make his final visits with pastors before
his (well-deserved) retirement.

its Annual Meeting at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church on March 3rd at 2 PM. Come and see
where all we are involved!

Mission Network Prayer Request: Today
ends the three-day Festival Tournament in Ulaanbaatar. JCS, Mennonite Mission
Network’s partner agency in Mongolia, requests prayer for their Eagle Wings
hockey team. Pray that the 15 boys and their coach will demonstrate God’s love
throughout the competition.

▪ “How do I say that in PA
Dutch?” Mark Louden, a University of Wisconsin
Professor of German and Religious studies will speak at the March 18, 7:00 p.m. meeting of the Iowa Mennonite Historical Society.
Mark is a fluent speaker of PA Dutch. He regularly helps mediate understandings
between PA Dutch and English speaking communities. The meeting will be at
Kalona Mennonite Church.
