KITCHEN will be hosted and served by Washington Mennonite this week on Saturday
October 21st. If you did not sign up to help
with dining room set up, serving of food or clean up and would like to help
please talk to either Gloria Widmer or Phyllis Litwiller today. Please
join us as we work together in serving a hot noon meal to persons in the area
who come to Saturday Kitchen.
Crooked Creek Christian Camp

Iowa Mennonite School

Concert at
3:00PM in Celebration Hall and following
all 6th-8th graders and their families are invited to a Harvest
Party with our FFA following the Fall Music Concert (around 4:30PM). There will be hot dogs, fun and games. Please RSVP

the fall musical, Anne of Green Gables, directed by
Alisa Kandel and Michael Swartzendruber. Tickets are now on sale by calling the

Central Plains Conference
▪ The second
Central Plains Bible Study Webinar is around the corner! Join us
at 7:30pm on Tuesday, October
24. In Listen Closely: Facilitating good discussion, we will
cover what leaders do to make a discussion go well. These webinars
are especially for Sunday School teachers and Bible study
leaders, but anyone is welcome.

Faith and Learning– Dock Mennonite
Academy, Penn View Campus, Souderton, Pennsylvania - This
week is Spiritual Life Week for students, faculty and staff at Dock. Pray for
Mike Ford, pastor at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, as he shares with them.

▪ Kalona MOPS is having a Haystacks
Fundraiser on Sunday, October 15th from 11:30am-1:30pm at Upper Deer Creek Mennonite Church. There will be a free will donation. See the flyer in the entryway for more
details.
▪ October 22nd at noon - West Union MYF
will be holding a fundraising dinner for the Central Plains Villatoro Family
Fund. This fund supports
the Villatoro family during this time they are separated from their
husband/father, Pastor Max. We invite you to join us for this meal.
▪ All are invited to hear Dr. Nyle
Kauffman’s presentation on early medical practices in the local Amish and
Mennonite community at 7:00 on October
23 at Kalona Mennonite Church. There will also be an opportunity to
join the Iowa Mennonite Historical Society, renew your membership and to buy
apple butter. Refreshments will be served.

is coming to Kalona on October 25th two different times: 9:30 a.m.@ IMS (sponsored by IMS PTO) and 6:30
p.m. @ the Middle School (sponsored by local business') Families, youth, and
all of the community are welcome to come hear him share his testimony about how
the choices we make everyday impact our lives path. The choices he made on his
