Presbyterian Church in Washington. Our guests are always grateful for the good
hot meal and the fellowship around the dinner table. Thank you to
everyone who helped with the meal preparation, donation of food, serving and
clean up. One person came to the counter after the meal and asked to speak
to the person who made the lemon bars because she enjoyed the bars so much

▪ Central Plains Mennonite
Conference Prayer Request: Leaders of Anabaptist
churches in Congo have asked that we pray for an end to the
atrocities that have driven at least 5000 people into hiding in the forest
to escape violence. Pray that the church can be a prophetic voice of justice
and a calming presence of Christ’s peace in the midst of a devolving
situation. One Mennonite denomination has brought at least six ethnic
groups together into one church body.
Mennonite Agencies
▪ From MCC: As
immigration enforcement tightens in the U.S., women, children and teens from Central America who are
fleeing domestic and sexual violence in their home countries encounter quick
deportation or harsher legal processes and extended detention when they seek
refuge in the U.S. To learn more about
this issue, including how to speak with your legislators about acting
compassionately, read this Action Alert from the MCC U.S. Washington Office,
mcc.org/protect-women-children
▪ Are you looking for a non-traditional pastorate? Service Adventure leaders are needed to
help guide young adults in their ongoing discovery of who God is and how God is
