expense to better know where we are financially. Annual Blueprint offerings through October

School
The IMS chapter of the National Honor
Society is hosting a blood drive on Monday, Nov 2, 7:00-11:00am.
Plan now to donate blood by scheduling a donation time through the IMS
office, 656-2073. Thank you for giving
in this special way.
IMS students will present Cotton Patch Gospel in Celebration Hall on Saturday, Nov 7
(7:00pm) and Sunday, Nov 8 (3:00pm).
This is a presentation of a setting in rural Georgia, with a bluegrass
band accompanying the singers. The cast
features 24 students, and is directed by Karenza Yoder. Advanced (reserved) tickets are available by
calling the school; cost is $8 for adults, students K-12 $5. Tickets will also be available at the door.

The Sower Prayer Request: Pray for Mark-Peter
Lundquist, a member at Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Minneapolis and program
director at Urban ventures which works to fight urban poverty through a variety
of initiatives. Today Central Plains conference
recognizes Mark-Peter’s ordination.
Mennonite Agencies
Ken
Sensenig, assistant director for Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) East Coast,
will be visiting the Kalona community November 1-5. On Tuesday evening he
will share stories of the church at work through MCC ministries at 7pm at Fairview
Mennonite Church. Ken draws on his 25
years of MCC experience and his love of history to bring biblical understandings
to the work of the church today. All are
invited to attend these gatherings to hear the MCC stories.

Mission Network Prayer Request: Siaka Traoré, president of
Evangelical Mennonite Church of Burkina Faso, thanks you for praying for the
country after a coup d’état in September, MMN requests continued prayers for
peaceful elections and for a spirit of reconciliation between political factions.

daily operations of the Furniture area, overseeing donations, managing
volunteers, pricing and organization of furniture items. This position has a competitive wage and a

Dan Fisher and his crew will be making 40 pumpkin
cheesecakes for the Thanksgiving season. The cost is $35 ($15 for ingredients and $20
donation). The proceeds will go to
Kalona Mennonite’s International Student Aid Fund. Our current project is assisting Rudi Mucaj
from Albania attend Goshen College. This
past August Rudi began his freshman year at Goshen College! Cheesecakes may be picked up at Kalona
Mennonite Church on Tuesday, November 24,

The Mennonite Historical Society of Iowa will welcome
renowned Mennonite historian and story-teller John Ruth to their Fall Meeting at Kalona Mennonite Church on Monday, November 23 at 7pm. As part of his presentation he will speak
about “where the Mennonites came from, where they settled, what the Natives
said and thought about this, where they went, and how the French and Indian War
finished William Penn’s dream of a Peaceable Kingdom.” Donations will be taken to provide for John
Ruth’s expenses. He will have his
recently published memoir, Branch, for sale. This will also be a time to renew your
membership or join the Mennonite Historical Society. Everyone is welcome.
