hymn sing. TONIGHT at 6pm we will be
hosting a hymn sing here at Washington Mennonite and afterwards there will be a
pie and ice cream social starting at 7pm.
Please join in singing together and enjoying delicious pie!
Have you made your contribution/pledge
yet? Washington Mennonite’s Kitchen
Remodeling Project fundraising is in
full swing! Our goal is $52,900 by July
1, 2015. The measuring cup in the foyer
will continue to fill up as we reach our goal.
Pledge cards and a basket for collecting them can be found on the table
at the back of the sanctuary. Please
take a few minutes to fill out your pledge and drop it in the basket or come
prepared to do so in the next few weeks.
As soon as we know we can reach our goal, local contractors can be
notified so the project is on their calendars.
Work could begin later this summer.
Help us make this project a reality!
Crooked Creek

MCC Iowa Relief
Sale
A big thank you to all who participated
in the Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale. The community wide effort resulted in an
income of $195,500. That represents an increase of $28,203 or
16.8%. A financial statement with a
written breakdown of income and expenses will be coming soon.
We
have a fairly close number to share with you regarding the “My Coins Count” totals from the 2015 MCC Iowa Relief Sale. The
totals are almost $22,000! ($21,958.72) I want to offer a great big “thank
you!” to everyone who helped raise this money that will help 25 families in
Guatemala to grow food all year long. I
am grateful for all your efforts and I hope that your congregations also felt
joy in finding these coins. Every coin
does count and when they are added up, it makes a big difference in god’s
Kingdom work.
