Upside down & inside out
Lent 5: Letting the seed coats decay

We expect maturity to be something we can arrive at—and then live in ever after.  Yet God desires what we hide away in our secret hearts.  For that seed to grow, the seed coat must first decay.  What has to die in our lives so that a new covenant, written on our hearts, can bear its fruit?

FIRST LOOK
We invite you to greet those around you and welcome visitors to our time of worship as you enter the sanctuary.
As the prelude begins, we invite you to end your conversations with those around you and quiet your hearts and minds in preparation for the worship service.

Children’s Time
If God is going to turn us upside down and inside out during this Lenten season, we will need to give our consent to that transformation by being oriented toward, and around, God.  The classic way Christians have done this is through prayer.  Each week during Lent the children (and adults) will be invited to participate in different ways of praying—ways of praying that invite God to focus and refocus our lives on and in Christ.
