“Tuesdays with Dave,” a video teleconference for
congregations, will meet again this coming Tuesday, Feb 17th, at 7:30pm CST.
Dave Boshart, Executive Conference Minister for CPMC will address
questions of congregational outreach.
The teleconference will be projected here in our sanctuary via our
overhead video projector. You are

Crooked Creek Christian Camp
Crooked Creek Christian
Camp of Washington, IA, is looking for an experienced and energetic Food
Service Manager to
start on or about May 15, 2015. This
position will provide overall leadership to the kitchens for year-round guests
with a reputation of great hospitality and great food including summer camp and

During Sundays in March
(1, 8, 15, 22, 29) camp is hosting open gym afternoons from 3-6pm at the camp Activity
Center. This is a free family event open
to all.
Iowa Mennonite School
IMS is hosting a visitation day
tomorrow (Mon, Feb 16th) for all interested 8th grade students and their
parents. Students will visit classes and
experience life on campus…parents may meet with administrative personnel to
talk about pertinent issues and have a chance to ask questions. Students should be here at 8am; the parent
session will be from 8:15-9am.
Students (and parents) interested in
attending IMS for the first time in the fall of 2015 are invited to an informational
session on the IMS campus, on Tuesday,
March 3, at 7pm. Teachers and
administrators will be present, and will answer questions and provide valuable
information about registration, curriculum, etc…and will be available to
discuss options with prospective families.
Refreshments will also be served.

Conference
Lent, the 40
days leading up to Easter, gives us an opportunity to focus on the life and
death of Jesus in preparation for Easter.
We have a special worship guide for families with children called
“Upside Down & Inside Out.” Families
are encouraged to use the guide in whatever way works for them. It begins with ideas for a special dinner on
Tuesday, Feb 17, and provides a weekly worship guide for each week from then
until Easter Sunday. For more

The
Sower Prayer Request: Next Sunday, Aaron Carlson will be ordained
at Manson (Iowa) Mennonite Church. Pray
for God’s guidance and blessing for Aaron and the congregation as they embody
and proclaim the reign of God in Manson.

Mission Network Prayer Request: C Paul and Hildi Amstutz of MMN request prayer for chaplains in
businesses in Paraguay. May they
encourage Christian employees to exercise their calling to be salt and light in
the marketplace, thus creating a more favorable spiritual climate at their
companies and among their families.

Sunday has been postponed until TODAY, Feb 15th, there
will be a potato bar following Sunday school hour (11:30am). Please come and support the West Union and

Haiti at Bethel church will host a Taco Dinner
in the fellowship hall, on Sunday, MARCH
29th at 12pm. A free will
donation will be taken.
On behalf of Restore Innocence, Jane &
Andy Swartzentruber will be hosting a
human trafficking awareness event at Upper Deer Creek Church on Sunday, Feb 22nd at 7pm. The evening will consist of a brief overview
of two phenomenal non-profit organizations working to end human trafficking, as
well as the screening of Nefarious:
Merchant of Souls, a documentary produced by Exodus Cry. While this film is not rated, Exodus Cry
recommends viewing to those 18 and older, given the disturbing and intense

(Just Peace Outreach Group) invites you to hear Dean Rhodes
describe his experiences on “El Camino de Santiago,” a 500 mile Christian
pilgrimage in northern Spain. Over 200,
000 persons walked this path in 2014 in a search for spiritual inspiration
among the plains and mountains of northern Spain. Join us to hear about Dean’s experiences and
see pictures of his trip on Sunday evening, Feb 22nd, at East Union
Mennonite Church, 5615 Gable Ave, Kalona, IA at 6pm for a finger-foods potluck
