The Saturday performance of the Dinner Theatre is already SOLD OUT!  There is still plenty of room on Thursday or Friday.  To invite friends and family pick up a few of the brochure by the mailboxes in the foyer.

If you would like to be a part of the church prayer chain email list, sign-up in the fellowship hall (EVEN IF YOU ARE ALREADY RECEIVING EMAILS).  Amanda would like a definitive list of everyone interested in receiving prayer requests and announcements from and about the church.

Crooked Creek Christian Camp

Please remember the camp Fall Fundraiser in your giving this year.  A major renovation of the Pavilion walk-in freezer and cooler needs to be done this winter.  Other items include beds and a finish mower; see the Fall Fundraiser brochure or call the camp office.  Thank you for your support of the camp’s ministry outreach.

Iowa Mennonite School

The IMS music department, under the direction of Josh Tyson, will present the annual Christmas Concert at 3pm on Sunday, December 14^th.  All choral groups, including Chorale, Concert Choir, and Chamber Singers, will present…as well as the Symphonic Band.  There is no admission, but a free-will offering will be taken in support of the music program at IMS.  All are invited to attend.

Central Plains Conference

The Sower Prayer Request:  Pray for wisdom for our conference ministers Tim Detweiler, David Boshart and Shana Peachey Boshart.  Pray also for the annual meeting of conference ministers taking place next weekend in San Antonio, Texas.

Crowded Closet News:  Crowded Closet would like to thank you for your generosity in making school kits this fall.  We find it helpful when kits are brought in closed boxes so they can be stacked and store until they are transported.  We would also like to share with you that Crowded Closet was voted one of the best resale stores in the Iowa City Press-Citizen Media’s Best of Area survey!  Thank you volunteers.

Mennonite Mission Network Prayer Request: Nearly 50 participants are three months into their Mennonite Voluntary Service assignments, a Christian Service program of MMN.  Pray for these young adults as they adapt to life in community and work in fields that include public health, immigration law, and home repair.

MEA Prayers for Faith and Learning:  Give thanks for a time of rest and giving thanks with family this past weekend.  Pray that students and teachers may transition back easily as they complete these last few weeks of the semester following Thanksgiving.

Area Announcements

Friday, Nov 21^st, the Ten Thousand Villages holiday store opened.  Store hours are: Mon-Wed & Fri 11-6, Thu 11-8, Sat 10-6, and Sun 12-5.  The store is located where the Wedge Pizzeria was located, 136 S Dubuque St, Iowa City.  Stop in and support the artisans.

Back by popular demand – Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church will once again be making and selling cheeseballs!  Selection will include ham, pineapple, veggie and pesto at $9.50 each or 3 for $27.  Pick up date is Saturday, December 13^th from 10-noon at the church.  To order call 319.656.2076 or email ldc at kctc.net.  Thank you for supporting mission projects as LDC!
