Encountering
God
What have we witnessed…in Jesus’ empty tomb?
We encounter God’s triumphant power in Jesus’ empty
tomb. Mary Magdalene encountered the
resurrected Jesus and shared this news with the disciples. We who God chooses to be witnesses are raised
with Christ to the miracle of new life.
We rejoice in glad song!

10,000 reasons (Bless the Lord o my soul)
(by Jonas Myron & Matt Redman)
CHORUS: Bless the
Lord O my soul O my soul
Worship His holy name.
Sing like never before O my soul
I’ll worship your holy name.
The sun comes up It's a new day dawning
It's time to sing your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes
CHORUS
You're rich in love and you’re slow to anger
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
10,000 reasons for my heart to find
CHORUS
And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing your praise unending
10,000 years and then forever more

People: Forever
is the Lord’s kindness!

say:
People:
Forever is the Lord’s
kindness!

the Lord say:
People:
Forever is the Lord’s
kindness!

strength.
People: The
Lord is our might.
All: The
Lord has become our salvation.
Leader: Today there are
glad songs in the tents of the just;
People: For
though we were chastised, we were not given over to death.
Leader: The right hand of
the Lord is valiant!
People: The
right hand of the Lord is exalted!
Leader: The stone that the
builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
People: The
Lord has answered our cries.
All: The Lord has become our rescue.

doing.
People: This is the day that the Lord has made!

Mighty
to save
(by Reuben Morgan and Ben Fielding)
Everyone needs compassion, a love
that’s never failing.
Let mercy fall on me.
Everyone needs forgiveness, the
kindness of a Savior,
The hope of nations.
CHORUS:
Savior, He can move the
mountains.
My God is mighty to save, He is mighty to
save.
Forever Author of Salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave.
Jesus conquered the grave.
So take me as you find me, all my
fears and failures.
Fill my life again.
I give my life to follow ev’rything I
believe in.
Now I surrender.
CHORUS
Shine your light and let the whole
world see, we’re singing
For the glory of the risen King,
Jesus.
Shine your light and let the whole
world see, we’re singing
For the glory of the risen King.
CHORUS
In Christ alone
(words & music by Keith Getty &
Stuart Townsend)
In
Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song.
This
cornerstone, this solid ground,
firm through the fiercest drought and
storm.
What
heights of love, what depths of peace,
when fears are stilled, when
strivings cease!
My
Comforter, my All in All, here in the love of Christ I stand.
In
Christ alone, who took on flesh,
fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till
on that cross as Jesus died,
the wrath of God was satisfied.
For
ev’ry sin on Him was laid;
here in the death of Christ I live.
There
in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain.
Then
bursting forth in glorious day,
up from the grave He rose again!
And
as He stands in victory,
sin’s curse has lost its grip on
me.
For
I am His and He is mine,
bought with the precious blood of
Christ.
No
guilt in life, no fear in death;
this is the pow’r of Christ in
me.
From
life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No
pow’r of hell, no scheme of man,
can ever pluck me from His hand.
Till
he returns or calls me home,
here in the pow’r of Christ I’ll
stand.
Here
in the pow’r of Christ I’ll stand!
