Hillcrest Academy

▪ Giving Day 06.24.20 | 2020 has been an unforgettable year! Our school year was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, and we had to cancel many events. These events are where lasting memories are made for our students. In addition to cancelling these school events, we also had to cancel our scheduled end-of-year fundraiser. But we still have an opportunity to look past the pandemic and be stronger moving forward! By participating in our Giving Day on June 24 you can help us finish the year stronger than before. We need your help to succeed! If we all pull together we can raise the remaining funds to reach our $250,000 Annual Fund goal. Check out https://www.hillcrestravens.org/giving-day-2020/ and stay tuned this week as we communicate things about the campaign.

Kids Night at the Ballpark! | Come out and cheer on the Ravens on Tuesday, June 23, 7:00 PM as the softball team takes on Mediapolis and on Thursday, June 25, 5:30 PM as baseball takes on Pekin. 5th-8th graders get in free with their passes and all kids 5 and older will receive a pair of Hillcrest Ravens sunglasses and other freebies.

Hillcrest Academy Golf Benefit | This year's benefit on Saturday, July 18 at the Kalona Golf Club will obviously be a bit different, but we feel like we can put on an enjoyable and safe event. To register to play or to be a sponsor check out hillcrestravens.org/alumni/hillcrest-golf-benefit.

Central Plains Conference

Mennonite Agencies

MCC in North Newton is open on a limited basis Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Following the biblical call to love our neighbors as ourselves, there are several COVID-19 protocols in place when you visit MCC. Please take your time, read the posted signs and follow the directions to the best of your ability. Masks are required and some are available, if needed. The material resources center and warehouse are not open to volunteer groups at this time, except for a handful of essential volunteers. Material resource donations are being accepted in the 24-hour donation room on the northeast side of the building for contactless drop-offs.  If you need to meet with a staff person, please call the office and set up an appointment with that person at 316.283.2720 or email centralstates@mcc.org.
