Save Room For Pie | IMS is hosting another Into The Black fundraising event on June 28 in Celebration Hall. Save Room For Pie is an evening featuring a performance by The Walking Roots Band, a silent auction of meals, and (of course) pie and ice cream. If you've never heard TWRB, we think you're going to like them! 'TWRB is an acoustic, Americana, folksy, blue-ish-grassy, roots music group based in Harrisonburg, VA. Steeped in Anabaptist hymn-singing traditions, the band’s original folk music and reclaimed hymns are supported with lush vocal harmonies. The music speaks of hope, whether through sacred words written hundreds of years ago or in the honest voice of one of the band’s songwriters. The silent auction and pie eating fellowship begin at 6:00 PM followed by the free concert at 7:00 PM. There will be a offering during the concert with the goal of raising $75,000 in one night! You won't want to miss this important event to help IMS get 'into the black' at the end of the year.

IMS Camps | We have several camps starting this week including: Totally Radical Dude! Zines, Comics and Independent Media. This is for students entering grades 6-8. We need a minimum of 10 campers to hold this camp. This is a creative camp that involves imaginative writing and artwork. We also have space in our Creative Creatures sculpture art camp and basketball camps for younger kids. Other camps for the summer are listed on our IMS Camp page along with details and online registrations www.iowamennonite.org/camps/.

Central Plains Conference

Central Plains Mennonite Conference Prayer Request:   This morning, delegates from Central Plains join together for the final worship service of the 2019 Annual Meeting weekend. Give thanks for the fellowship we enjoy and for the strength it gives to our witness to God's reign.

Mennonite Mission Network Prayer Request:  Brian and Noelia Fox of Mennonite Mission Network serve the Anabaptist community in Burgos, Spain.
