▪ Offering for 5/19/19 - Regular offering: $1,988.50;  HACAP: $100.00;  My Coins Count:  $63.00

Jeremy Kempf, son-in-law of Grant and Edie, has recently released a new CD of original music. A copy is available in the church library and on iTunes and Spotify.

The new Mennonite hymnals titled, Voices Together, are coming in the fall of 2020.  They will be available for pre-order in June 2019,  The worship committee is hoping to raise the necessary funds by having treats and a freewill offering basket in the Fellowship Hall once a month.  The first "Turning Treats into Hymnals" day will be June 2 between church and Sunday School.  You are welcome to have a treat even if you don't make a donation but do whatever works for you.  If you wish to donate the price of one or more hymnals ($24.00 ea.) in honor of friends or family or as a memorial, we can put a nameplate inside the hymnal.  And, you don't have to wait for the treat time.  You can give any amount at any time but if you are writing a check, make sure you write (for new hymnals) on the memo line.   As funds start coming in, we will keep you posted as to the progress of this project.  "How Can We Keep From Singing?" We can't!   Thank you for your participation.     – Worship Committee

June 1: MCC sale Pancake Breakfast - There is a sign up sheet in the foyer to help serve at the pancake breakfast. The shifts are split up into 2 time periods, (but could use some people all morning.) Contact Myron for more details.

Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale

The 40th annual Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale is THIS COMING WEEKEND, May 31-June 1! Bring your family and enjoy all that there is to do, see, shop and eat! The sale officially opens at 3pm on Friday. The farmers' market, food booths, plants, books, gifts and craft sales will all be open and the Tractorcade will be motoring in. Beginning at 4:30pm is the smoked pork loin or turkey breast dinner and then at 6:30pm the bell for the auction rings. On Saturday at 7am is the all-you-can-eat pancake, sausage and mush breakfast. The 5K Trail Run/1-Mile walk begins at 8am and just about everything else including the auction is running by 9am. See you there!

In honor of the 40th anniversary of the Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale, we asked you to give towards the $40 for 40 campaign. We asked for 1,000 people to raise $40,000 in honor of 40 years. We are almost there at $38,000. Have you given $40 yet? Can you help us reach our goal by this weekend? Donations can now be made online via Paypal at www.iamccreliefsale.org.

▪ Please bring your baked goods to the sale by 3pm on Friday or by 7am Saturday morning. Don't forget to list all of your ingredients and include your church name and personal number. Talk to your church rep. if you have questions about this process.

Volunteers are still needed! Are you coming to sale? Can you give 1-2 hours of that time to lend a helping hand? Volunteers are the only way this event can be successful.  http://www.iamccreliefsale.org/volunteering.html

The online auction of the Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale is open and ready for bidders!!! Visit the website, see all the great things available and start bidding now! Bidding ends at 10pm on Friday, May 31: https://mennoniteauctions.org
