DINNER THEATRE REHEARSAL:  All drama and music participants for dinner theatre should attend the rehearsal this evening at 5:00 p.m. at the church.  Skits will be blocked and music will be introduced.

SundaySucIowa Mennonite School

Homecoming & Alumni Family Weekend will take place on campus October 12-13. Events will include alumni volleyball (with the 1998 State Final Four team) and soccer games, Joetown Classic, food fundraiser by the PTO (with music by The Old Man Band), Annual Pork Supper, and a community hymn sing.

Mennonite Mission Network Prayer Request:  David and Sophie Lapp Jost of Mennonite Mission Network are beginning an assignment in Nazareth, Israel. Pray for them as they visit hospital patients, teach English, and assist with communication projects.

Area Announcements

▪ J-POG (Just Peace Outreach Group) invites you to hear Jacob Yoder address the topic "Farming for Peace: An MCCer's Reflections on Life and Work in Burundi."  Jacob will describe his work in the African nation of Burundi developing food security projects with Mennonite Central Committee.  Join us at West Union Mennonite Church, 3253 305th Street, Parnell, IA on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at 6 pm for a finger food potluck (please bring your own table service) and conversation, or at 7 pm for Jacob's presentation.  For more information, contact Roger Farmer at 319-653-2547 or Jane Yoder-Short at wilmajane17@gmail.com. 

The Gospel Echoes Banquet - will be held at Upper Deer Creek Church on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 6:30 pm. Join us for an evening of music, inspiration, and a delicious home-style dinner. A free will offering will be received to assist prison ministry teams and to provide free literature to prisons and chaplains throughout the U.S. The evening is open to the public and will include music from the Gospel Echoes Harvest and Mercy Road Teams.
