▪ The IMS PTO will be operating the Apple Fritter Booth at the Kalona
Fall Festival on Friday and Saturday, September 28-29. The IMS
Choirs and Praise Band will be performing under the festival tent on Friday
from 2:30-3:30PM.
▪ Homecoming & Alumni Family Weekend will take place on the IMS
campus October 12-13. Be sure
to join us on Friday night for the alumni volleyball (with the
1998 State Final Four team) and soccer games. On Saturday
participate in the Joetown Classic
5K, followed by the IMS Tailgate (concessions by the
PTO, music by The Old Man Band, along with inflatables and games of Spikeball),
and end the day the Annual Pork Supper followed by a Community
Hymn Sing in Celebration Hall.

▪ The Annual Pork Supper will be on Saturday, October 13.
Junior IMS students are selling tickets now or they can be purchased at the
door. Tickets are: Adults $10, Seniors 65+ $9, Children age 4-12 $5, age 3 and
under free. The meal consists of roasted pork, baked potato, salads, and
dessert.
Central Plains Conference

Prayer Request: Pray for all our conference leaders as the board and committees meet
next weekend in Kalona, IA, to plan for the upcoming year.
Mennonite Agencies
▪ The worst monsoon flooding in a century has
damaged roads, homes and sources of income for hundreds of thousands of people
in the Kerala state of India. As
displaced people are returning to their homes, Mennonite Central Committee is working with Gilgal Mission Trust in
India to provide tarps, food baskets, cooking utensils, and cleaning and

Mission Network Prayer Request: Brian
and Noelia Fox and their daughters, serving with Mennonite Mission Network, are
beginning another school year in Spain. Pray for the girls as they relate to
classmates, and for Brian and Noelia as they work with parents and students in
the English school they established.

▪ J-POG (Just Peace Outreach Group)
invites you to hear Jacob Yoder address the topic "Farming for Peace: An
MCCer's Reflections on Life and Work in Burundi." Jacob will describe his work in the
African nation of Burundi developing food security projects with Mennonite

Fall, 2018, meeting of the Crowded Closet Association
will be held Monday, Sept. 17, at 7
pm at Sunnyside Mennonite Church. All volunteers and interested persons
are invited to attend and learn of the latest happenings at the Crowded
Closet.

Echoes Banquet - will be held at Upper Deer Creek Church on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 6:30 pm. Join
us for an evening of music, inspiration, and a delicious home-style dinner. A
free will offering will be received to assist prison ministry teams and to
provide free literature to prisons and chaplains throughout the U.S. The
evening is open to the public and will include music from the Gospel Echoes
