▪ Offering for 7/29/18 - Regular offering: $630
▪ Financial Update as of July 31, 2018: Giving was down in July and our balance
decreased by $4000 to $1576. In order to finish our fiscal year strong and meet
our giving goals, we need offerings totaling $20,000 in August. Can you help?
Your continued generous gifts to the church are appreciated. If you have
questions, see Mary Lou Farmer.
▪ We welcome Michael Swartzendruber from Wayland
Mennonite here with us as part of The
SouthEast Iowa Pastor Cluster’s Pulpit Exchange. Amanda is preaching at Sugar Creek this
morning.
▪ School Kits!
Yes, it is that time again. We are
collecting school kits for children around the world who don’t have the
necessary supplies. In the foyer you’ll find bags and a list of items that
go into the kit. We have a limited amount of bags this year but bring your
items and we’ll see that they get to MCC. Thanks for your generosity.
▪ Saturday Kitchen
was hosted by WMC on July 28th and we served eighty six plates and
made 39 carry outs. Thank you to everyone who helped by donating food
items, cooking, serving or set-up and cleaning. WE are grateful for each
one of you. Our next date to host Saturday Kitchen is September 15, 2018. - Phyllis
Litwiller and Gloria Widmer
