“Pastor Amanda Beachy has been on sabbatical for the last three months and returns to the pulpit today.  Welcome back Amanda!  As elders, we hope you had a refreshing and invigorating time of renewal as you read, retreated, rested and sought rhythm in your life’s journey.  We look forward to having you back and hearing about how your adventures these past three months might help us as a congregation grow stronger in God’s love and service.
Thanks also to Pastor Grant Nebel for carrying an extra load this fall while Amanda was absent.  We appreciate your continued, steadfast service to Washington Mennonite.”
            - Jon Widmer, Myron Graber, Mary Lou Farmer, Elders

Every 8 weeks, Washington Mennonite prepares the meal for area persons at Saturday Kitchen served at the Presbyterian Church.  Our Saturday Kitchen funds are getting low and need to be replenished.  Today there is a basket on the counter during coffee time for you to give toward this worthwhile project.  We need about $150 - $175 each time that we serve.  Thanks for your generous donations.

At the September 2015 business meeting, it was requested that the congregation be kept informed of the annual budget balance.  Due to five Sundays in November, the balance at the end of the month was a bit better than the end of October.  Balance at the end of November is -$3231.56.  If you have questions, please see Mary Lou Farmer, Treasurer

The microwave used in the church kitchen before the remodel is now for sale ($75).  If you’re interested, contact Karen Bates.

The kitchen remodel project is almost finished and bills are coming in.  Pledges toward the project aren’t officially due until next summer.  However, if you can give any or all of your pledge now, it would help with cash flow for the church.  Thank you for your consideration.  If you have questions, see Mary Lou Farmer, Treasurer or Mike Bates, Council Chair.

Crooked Creek Christian Camp

Each year camps fall fundraiser is intended for facility improvements.  Our goal is $32,805 to improve the pavilion (summer camp), house and tractor.  Thank you for your gifts and support in providing excellent facilities for guests to enjoy in a setting that celebrates God’s creation.
