 ABIDING

“Come to me,  all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”            --Matthew 11:28-30 NIV

This has been my favorite Bible verse for as long as I can remember.  I can’t really say why it has always touched me as it does, but for some reason I find peace in these words from Jesus.  Just knowing that he wants me to go to him no matter how tired or stressed I am and he will provide peace and rest to my whole being is a comfort I can’t find on my own or from anything the world can provide.  By giving myself to all he has for me and continually learning and growing in his ways is what I try and strive for each day.
