Each week we would
like one person to list their favorite Bible scripture and how these verses
are encouraging them in their walk with God.
Each week Amanda and Grant will be asking someone for their
response. The congregation’s response is
to pray for that person during the week.
As our abiding in the Word person
this week, keep Leroy Reber in your prayers.
The women from the “Thinkers” group are meeting together once a week to pray
especially for Tina Watson Wiklund and would like to invite anyone else to join
us at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 4th at the church.
On the table in the foyer is a list of food items needed for a HACAP food box. If the box is complete it will be given to
Washington families in need. Incomplete
boxes need to be marked so HACAP can complete what is needed. Would you or your family be willing to work
on one or more food boxes for needy families in Washington?

Amanda and Grant are getting several calls a week from people who need assistance with
housing, utilities, food and other essentials for the coming winter
months. When we get calls we will place
the needs in the bulletin. If you are
interested in helping with these needs let your pastors know. All of the requests are checking out with
HACAP.
Grant and Edie will be traveling to Virginia on Thursday of this week. They will return on Monday.
Washington Mennonite Church is hosting a Dessert Theatre entitled “Waiting…”.
You are invited to attend the Dessert Theatre on December 1, 2, & 3,
2011, at 7:00 PM here at Washington Mennonite Church. Note that we will be presenting the program
at the church and will not be serving a meal this year, but will feature an
array of desserts and hot drinks at the intermission. Brochures with registration information are
available on the foyer table. Mail in
your registrations or give them to Mary Lou Farmer as soon as possible. Front pews will be assigned to the earliest
paid reservations. Proceeds above
expenses will go to benefit the missions programs of WMC.

take a poster from the coffee window this morning to hang in a public place. Take brochures from the foyer table and
invite your friends.

SAVE THE DATE! ‘Tis the season to drink tea! On Saturday, December 3, Crooked Creek
Christian Camp invites you to join us for our annual “Come to the Table” event. This year we will be throwing a tea party
just for you. We will share conversation
over tea (or coffee), talk about how to throw a tea party and make some goodies
that you can give away as gifts during the holidays. This is a great event for women of all ages
to come and pause, relax, reflect and renew during the Holiday season. Make it a special event by bringing your
daughter, mother, granddaughter, niece, cousin or friend!
Prayer requests from our conference: Swan
Lake Christian Camp near Viborg, South Dakota, will host a retreat for young
