Saturday Kitchen meal will be prepared and served by Washington Mennonite church at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington on Saturday July 15th, 2017.  Food sign-up sheets and also sheets for persons to help in the kitchen or  serve food and beverages are located on the library table in the foyer.  Numbers of guests served each week in the past several months have varied from a low number of fifty nine persons to a high of 86 persons.  Because of the lower number of guests we have cut back on our requests for food items so you will see a shorter list.  Please check the requests for both food and help needed and sign-up.  As a committee we appreciate your help.    - Gloria Widmer, Sandy Buhrow and Phyllis Litwiller

Iowa Mennonite School

THANK YOU Our fiscal year has ended and IMS would like to thank all of our supporting churches, those that support IMS through their congregations, and especially those that have chosen to go beyond this commitment and give directly to IMS. Without your collective dedication to the mission of IMS, we wouldn't be able to provide the IMS experience for our students. We truly appreciate the significant level of support we receive year after year from our generous community.

JOB OPENING: Science Instructor IMS is searching for a candidate to join our Science Department for the 2017-2018 school year.  The ideal faculty member would have their Iowa Licensure with endorsements in Secondary Physics and Secondary Chemistry, other endorsement areas are a great asset as well. Additionally, the position calls for teaching Advanced Placement classes.  This full-time position also includes other responsibilities consistent with other faculty members. The candidate would be available to start on August 23, 2017, be certified in areas listed (whether permanent or temp – but working towards), be involved in a local church community (or be searching for a church community). More information is available at: http://www.iowamennonite.org/jobs.
