Our Church

Happy Birthday to:  Amanda Beachy (12/10)

Happy Anniversary to:  Jeff & Karla Garrett (10/11)

Offering for 11/23/2014: $2,770 (regular)

“I would like to thank my Washington Mennonite Church family for the floral bouquet hand delivered by Amanda and Andrea while I was at Mercy Hospital and the get well cards, notes of encouragement, visits, food and telephone calls I have received during my hospitalization and since returning home.  My church family is so important to me and I love each one of you.  Blessings to you as you prepare for the holidays and Dinner Theatre.  Much to my dismay I am on the side lines with only touch toe weight bearing.  Blessings.”  - Phyllis Litwiller

Our Sunday, December 14th, church service (9:30am) will be out at the Pavilion of Crooked Creek Christian Camp (2830 Coppock Rd).  We will be celebrating the end of another dinner theatre season as well as the dedication of Naomi Friesen and baptism of Andrea Nussbaum.

Christmas Caroling December 21st.  Please meet at the church to assemble cookie plates at 5:00 (so bring cookies or fruit to share).  We’ll spread Christmas cheer throughout the town and we’ll meet back at the church for our own Christmas celebration, so bring goodies for that also.  Questions?  Ask Megan Miller.   – Frivolity Committee

Families, we have for you a set of Advent At-Home Devotionals so you can celebrate Advent at home this holiday season.  Nurture your family’s identity as Christ-followers with these daily scripture readings and activities.  Research shows that the best way to pass faith to children is family worship in the home.  These family devotions give you just the tools you need!  Print off the devotional from this website http://resources.mennonitechurch.ca/SelectD ownloadFormat/43/17175 or ask Andrea for a copy.

The Sower Prayer Request:  Pray for leaders of MC USA: Executive Director Ervin Stutzman and his staff as well as the Executive Board.  May the Holy Spirit guide them in hope and faith as they lead our church.

Mennonite Agencies
