Statement
“Music has
always been a big part of my life and I’ve been blessed because of it. When I read these verses in Romans 15, I
immediately thought of musical harmony and the various components that are
integral for music to happen. The
artwork combines various types of music scores – instrumental, four part,
unison; various keys – major and minor; pictures of various instruments used to
make music; and texts from songs sung by the church over the centuries to
illustrate that musical harmonies are diverse, simple, complicated, moving,
slow, contemplative or joyful. It also
can serve as a reminder that the church is called to live in harmony.” -
