| The time as finally arrived for us to re-introduce ourselves to the
community! The IMS operating
board and administrative team invite everyone to an open house on
Tuesday, July 30 from 7:00-8:00 PM in Celebration Hall. Come to this informal
gathering and get the first look at our school's new name, logos, and mascot.
Come enjoy some light refreshments and maybe even win some school apparel. We
love the look of our new identity and are excited to show it to you all!

Mennonite Conference Prayer Request:
Pray for all those Central Plains
Mennonite Conference volunteers who were affirmed to new committees and task
groups at our Annual Meeting in June. May the mission and witness of the
Kingdom of God through CPMC be enlivened by the energy and wisdom of those
willing to serve.

Iowa Mennonite Relief Sale Annual Meeting on July 23 at 7pm at Kalona
Mennonite Church. Hear reports from the 2019 sale and be a part of the
continued conversation on how to improve our relief sale as we celebrate 100
years of Mennonite Central Committee in 2020.

Mission Network Prayer Request: Mennonite Mission Network has
two Youth Venture teams currently in service. Pray for leader Jill Schlabach
and participants in Benin, at La
Casa Grande, a Christian home for more than 30 children, and for
Katja Norton and participants tutoring blind students, working with preschool
children, teaching English, and supporting Mennonite Diakonal Service in
Indonesia.

Area Announcements
▪ On Sunday, July 14 at 6:00 pm IowaWINs is hosting a community
conversation on immigration with presidential candidate, Julian Castro, who
formerly was US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. This event is
open to all. IowaWINs is non-partisan and does not endorse candidates.
Doors open at 6 PM and tacos by "Just Tacos Justos" will be
offered for a free will donation to IowaWINs. Program starts at 7pm and
will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 902 S. Walnut in Mt. Pleasant,
Iowa.
▪ The
Kalona Optimist Club is sponsoring a blood drive on Monday, July 15
at Kalona Mennonite Church, 902 6th St, from 2:30 - 7:30. To schedule an

Tuesday, July 16, come hear artist Martha Yoder present "Images
of Revelation", demonstrating the timelessness and power of the book
of Revelation. The event is part of a Sacred Stage series at Land
