ABIDING
John 15:15 Jesus said, “...I have called you friends...”
I grew up as an only child and spent a lot of time alone. When I understood that Jesus was my friend,
I no longer felt as alone. Even now, it is a great comfort to remember that Jesus remains a friend regardless
of circumstances or difficulties. Roger Farmer

Grant has taken a leave of absence for the month
of January. Any questions or
concerns should be addressed to Amanda.
To our Washington Mennonite Church
family: There are no words that adequately express our appreciation for the
caring and support you have shown us throughout the past seven months.
This time of Tina's illness and death has been the most difficult season of our
lives, and as our church family you truly have been Jesus' hands and feet to us
with your prayers, calls, cards and countless other acts of kindness both large
and small. You have kept us going with delicious food for our family at
home as well as with the food you served at Bethel Mennonite
Church. The
beautiful plant you gave will long remind us of our blessings during this
season and of how lucky we are to have you as a church family.
Thank you for everything, Gordon
and Karen Watson
I want to thank WMC for the money given to me for my
medical and heating expenses. It is
greatly appreciated. Leroy Reber
There is a hall tree and crate leftover from
Dinner Theatre in Amanda’s office and they both desperately miss their
owners. If you or someone you know has
lost either a crate or hall tree, please come claim them.
Mennonite Women will be meeting January 18th
here at the church.
WMC is responsible for Meals on Wheels the month of January. We need
someone to deliver meals over the noon hour for the week of the 23rd
& 30th. If you are able
to help, please sign the sheet on the library table in the foyer.
An update from Dennis & Connie Byler is posted on the missions bulletin board.

Jr. High WinterFest Coming Soon! Time is running out, register now!!! If you are in grades 6 – 8 and love camp,

It’s
time for Coins for Camp! Crooked
Creek Christian Camp invites you to collect those coins throughout the month of
January. Packets with calendars and
instructions were mailed to each church and given to the camp reps. Please help us collect coins so we can
improve the climbing wall and make some improvements on the cabins. Remember, the church that raises the most
money per child in grades 1-8 wins a free pool party or 2 free hours at the
activity center. That’s a lot of
potential for fun, so start saving those coins!!
